How to renew your Apple iPhone Developer Subscription

The following is mainly for @matsan, but maybe it helps someone else too.

If you want to renew your Apple iPhone Developer Subscription currently, the checkout process is borked, if you use the "intended" way (clicking through). I did find out a way, how it does work nevertheless (hopefully). I didn't get the confirmation mail with the activation code yet, so maybe this was all wrong. But I got a confirmation mail, that I ordered it :)

I did btw inform Apple approx. 2 weeks ago, but didn't hear anything of them.

Update: It actually worked. I got the activation code 25 hours later.

Thank you very much for your help! It worked for me too.
That started to get really frustrating, after landing on Apple's front page for the 10th time, no matter what I treid.

I wonder how many apps will get "banned" form the AppStore because developers can't renew their subscription in time.

I thought this would save me but for some reason this ends up with a timeout here (I did reach the VISA payment page though, which is better).

I am from french Switzerland so I used chfr instead but that doesn't seem to make much difference (even though previously the french version didn't work for years and we always had to pick the german version).

I'll keep complaining to Apple until they fix this though, we shouldn't have to beg them to allow us to give them a hundred bucks :-)

Actually it finally worked today (yesterday's timeout issues seem resolved).
